Lake Hemet Municipal Water District’s water is safe, including from any impacts from the Coronavirus (COVID-19.) As always, your tap water is available, plentiful and safe. LHMWD does not expect this outbreak to disrupt services to our customers.

LHMWD is committed to providing its customers with safe and reliable water. All water is properly treated to eliminate pathogens, which includes viruses. Constant chlorination and weekly testing ensures our water quality. This ensures safe drinking water for all customers.

Our lobby is now open. Customers are still encouraged to make payments and access accounts at (833)259-4021, at lhmwd.org, leave payments in the lobby dropbox, or talk to a billing representative at (951)658-3241. Thank you for your cooperation and please continue being safe.

Our Mission

The mission of LHMWD is to produce and deliver high-quality water to our customers for domestic and agricultural uses, to provide sewer collection services and to maintain Lake Hemet as a clean and safe water reservoir and recreational facility in an economical, efficient and responsible manner, now and into the future.

Public Notices

  • California Executive Order N-42-20 Moratorium on water shut offs expired December 31, 2021. Lake Hemet Municipal Water District will resume disconnections for non-payment of water service beginning March 1, 2022.
  • The Lower Sprague Heights Booster Station is being upgraded to include 3 pumps, two at 300 gpm and one at 900 gpm for increased for flow and reliability. The booster provides potable water generally to the area southeast of Fairview and Acacia.
