Lake Hemet Municipal Water District (LHMWD) is a public, non-profit agency which services the most geographically diverse area of any water district in Riverside County.

In addition to providing potable water and sewer collection services to residents of Hemet and San Jacinto, the district also provides water to the isolated but growing San Jacinto Mountain community of Garner Valley located 4,500 feet above sea level. LHMWD customers are represented by a publicly-elected board of five directors in five divisions, representing approximately 14,500 domestic and 51 agricultural customers within a 26-square mile service area.

Our Mission

The mission of LHMWD is to produce and deliver high-quality water to our customers for domestic and agricultural uses, to provide sewer collection services and to maintain Lake Hemet as a clean and safe water reservoir and recreational facility in an economical, efficient and responsible manner, now and into the future.
